Dell is offering a Dell G16 16″ gaming laptop equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i9 Alder Lake CPU and GeForce RTX 3070 GPU for only $1399.99, after $400 in instant savings and a $100 off coupon code “100OFF1499“. Dell’s G-series gaming laptops offer specs similar to Alienware laptops but without the Alienware price point.

This Dell G15 laptop features a 16″ 2560×1600 QHD display, 12th generation Intel Core i9-12900H Alder Lake 14-core CPU, GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It weighs in at about 5.4 pounds and has plenty of useful ports, including a Thinkbolt 4 / USB Type-c port, HDMI 2.1, and an ethernet jack.

The 12th gen Alder Lake CPU is Intel’s newest mobile chip (the Raptor Lake mobile CPU isn’t out yet) and is a significant upgrade over previous generation Intel processors. It has also proven to be faster than the AMD Ryzen 6000 series mobile processors.

The GeForce RTX 30 series GPU is also NVIDIA’s newest mobile chip (the RTX 40 series mobile GPU isn’t out yet either) and the RTX 3070 in this laptop is a good one. It’s more powerful than the RTX 2080 and, unlike AMD cards, supports DLSS for better performance.

The least expensive RTX 3070 equipped Alienware m15 laptop right now is over $2K and has a smaller display, lower resolution, and lower-end processor. If you’re looking for maximum value and maximum performance, the Dell G-series laptop is a good way to go.
