Nancy Drew Finally Has an Action Figure

At some point, every pop culture franchise spawns a line of action figures. It might have taken the better part of a century, but now even Nancy Drew is a testament to that fact.

Wandering Planet Toys is partnering with publisher Simon & Schuster to kick off a new line of Nancy Drew action figures. Similar to Super7’s ReAction line, these figures are modeled after retro toy lines of the ’70s and ’80s. But in a fun twist, each Nancy Drew figure is inspired by a different book cover, and they even come packaged inside recreations of those books.

Wandering Planet is turning to Kickstarter to crowdfund this first wave of figures. Various tiers are available, with backers able to purchase figures inspired by classic books like The Secret of the Old Clock, The Hidden Staircase, The Secret In the Old Attic and The Clue of the Dancing Puppet. This wave also includes a pair of two-pack sets based on The Mystery at Lilac Inn and The Crooked Banister.

The Kickstarter campaign also allows backers to purchase an exclusive four-pack set with all the individual Nancy Drew figures packaged on retro cardbacks. There’s even a Kickstarter-exclusive Nancy Drew Silhouette figure with a matching display stand. And for completists, there’s the “Secret Treasure Trove Tier” that includes all the figures and an exclusive T-shirt.
