Red Dwarf: The Complete Series Returns to BBC for First Time in Over 15 Years

Cult sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf has returned to the BBC for the first time in over 15 years, with all episodes now available to stream on iPlayer.

The broadcaster announced every episode of the show’s classic run is on BBC iPlayer, along with the revived four seasons and feature-length special titled The Promised Land, bringing Lister, Rimmer, Cat, and Kryten back to our screens for a shot of nostalgia.

Red Dwarf co-creator Doug Naylor shared the news on Twitter, emphasizing this is the first time the complete series has been available to watch in one place since the original run aired on the BBC between 1988 and 1997 before being revived on UK channel Dave.

Dan McGolpin, Director of BBC iPlayer and Channels, added: “The strangest gang in space are back on the BBC – with classic episodes of Red Dwarf right from the very beginning touching down soon.”

Red Dwarf hasn’t been on the BBC since 2007, but now fans can rejoin Dave Lister (a waster with a heart of gold and curry), Arnold Rimmer (a cowardly hologram you love to hate), Kryten (a housemaid-style mechanoid), and Cat (an evolved feline obsessed with his appearance).

All 12 series of Red Dwarf are available on BBC iPlayer.
