The Oscars 2022: How to Watch and What to Expect

The 94th Academy Awards are nearly here and they are set to celebrate all the greatest films of 2021 and those who made them so special. Jane Campion’s western The Power of the Dog is heading into the show with the most nominations at 12, but there are countless others just as worthy of an Oscar.

The Oscars 2022 Date and Start Time

The Oscars will air on Sunday, March 27 at 5pm PT/8pm ET. If you are in the GMT timezone or Australia, that translates to 12am GMT/11am AEDT.

How to Watch the Oscars 2022 Online

The Oscars will once again air on your local ABC station, but those with streaming services like Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV will also be able to tune in. Many of these have free trials if you don’t want to miss the show.

Furthermore, those who have cable or satellite can also choose to watch on ABC.com and the ABC app by authenticating with your provider.

If you are outside the US, the Oscars will be broadcast in more than 200 territories worldwide. You can check your international local listings by heading to this link.

What to Expect from The Oscars 2022?

The 94th Academy Awards will once again have hosts leading the show, and this year Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes will be leading the ceremony.

Throughout the show, there will also be musical performances by Beyonce (Be Alive from King Richard), Billie Eilish & Finneas (No Time to Die from No Time to Die), Reba McEntire (Somehow You Do from Four Good Days), and Sebastian Yatra (Dos Orugitas from Encanto).

Alongside the hosts, a number of stars will be presenting awards, including Halle Bailey, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Samuel L. Jackson, Shawn Mendes, Tyler Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Ruth E. Carter, Kevin Costner, Anthony Hopkins, Lily James, Daniel Kaluuya, Zoë Kravitz, Mila Kunis, Lady Gaga, John Leguizamo, Simu Liu, Rami Malek, Lupita Nyong’o, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Naomi Scott, Wesley Snipes, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, Yuh-Jung Youn, Stephanie Beatriz, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Garner, H.E.R., Tiffany Hadish, Tony Hawk, Bill Murray, Elliot Page, Kelly Slater, Shaun White, Josh Brolin, Jacob Elordi, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Momoa, Jill Scott, J.K.
