Daily Deals: 2023 Games On Sale Including Dead Space, Fire Emblem, Kirby, and More

Today’s daily deals for Sunday, July 9 include sales on a ton of 2023 video games like Dead Space, Fire Emblem Engage, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, and more. Plus, free Amazon credit, 3 free months of Kindle Unlimited and more.

Get Kirby’s Return to Dreamland for $42.99

Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is an excellent remaster of the Wii Kirby game. Since the original Return to Dreamland game came out at the very end of the Wii’s lifecycle, it’s possible that very few of you have played this Kirby adventure. And, it just happens to be one of my favorite Kirby games! It’s a ton of fun in multiplayer, and this release adds a ton of minigames to the party.

Fire Emblem Engage Is $39.99

Fire Emblem Engage has some of the best combat the series has ever seen, and its cutscenes and visuals look great. The story is a little bit nonsensical, but if you look past that, this is a solid entry in the Fire Emblem series. Plus, it’s full of nostalgic nods for longtime fans of the series, as it includes a ton of heroes from previous Fire Emblem games.

Get the Dead Space Remake for 50% Off

2023 is just stacked with great games, and it’s easy to forget that the Dead Space remake launched earlier this year. It’s an excellent remake of the original survival horror title, and is a refreshing change after the somewhat disappointing Callisto Protocol at the end of last year.

Get Like a Dragon: Ishin! for 50% Off

Yakuza is now Like a Dragon in the West, and the first game to hold that title is Like a Dragon: Ishin!, a game that takes the series back in time to the age of samurai in Japan. It’s a great spinoff that requires no prior knowledge of the series, but also has a lot of cheeky nods for longtime fans.

Sonic Frontiers Is 42% Off

Sonic Frontiers just got a big content update for Sonic’s birthday, which includes new challenges, New Game+, and a birthday update for Sonic’s outfit. Plus, more free DLC is coming in the future, including more playable characters and brand new story content.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Is $25

If you like Pokemon and Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is the perfect game for you. It adds monster collecting and turn-based battling into the Monster Hunter formula, and some of the most iconic monsters have been recreated in an adorable new art style. You don’t have to have played the original Stories to see everything Stories 2 has to offer, and $25 is a great price for this Nintendo Switch title.

Dead Island 2 Day 1 Edition Gets a Discount

After waiting seemingly forever, Dead Island 2 finally launched this year and it’s… Good! It won’t knock your socks off, but this is a silly zombie shooter that’s a solid followup to the original. It’s on sale $10 today, the first significant discount we’ve seen on the game over at Best Buy. Plus, it comes with the Steelbook for the game as well if you orderr right now.

Grab Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for $44.97

I’m pitching Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to any Switch owner that’s finished Tears of the Kingdom and is in need of another huge world to get lost in. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 doesn’t tout the same open world exploration as TotK (I mean, what else does?), but its massive world, bonkers story, and memorable party of characters are more than worth the price tag. As long as you can handle the massive runtime, that is — this game is long.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure Is $20.99

I still maintain that Sackboy: A Big Adventure is one of the most underrated games of this generation. It’s an absolutely delightful 3D platformer akin to Super Mario 3D World, and it’s an absolute blast to play with friends. It has incredible licensed music levels like Rayman Legends, really creative bosses, a great original soundtrack, and clever platforming challenges throughout its entire runtime. If you still haven’t picked it up all these years later, it’s still worth your time.

Buy $50 Amazon eGift Card, Get Free $5 Amazon Credit

Amazon Prime members only

From July 3 to July 10, Amazon is offering free $5 in Amazon credit when you purchase a $50 Amazon eGift card. If you buy a digital gift card, you’ll receive it almost immediately via email. The bonus $5 credit should be automatically added to your Amazon account within minutes of making your gift card purchase.

There are a couple of caveats to this deal. You have to be an Amazon Prime member and be logged into your account to see this deal. You will also have to use your credit by August 23, 2023. Fortunately, because you will receive the credit almost immediately, you can apply it to any Prime Day purchases you make. That’s pretty awesome because we often see cashback deals from other vendors with a time freeze associated with them, so you can’t actually use the funds until after a certain big sale has passed.

GTA 5 and Red Dead 2 Are On Sale for $20 Each

Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V are on sale today at Best Buy. These are two of the greatest open world games ever made, and while the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 could still be a long one, these two games have more than enough content to tide you over. I’m playing through Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time right now, and I’m pretty blown away by its attention to detail, exploration, and organic discovery. I’m finding it to be a great followup to Tears of the Kingdom, which I was worried would make every other game look not as appealing after finishing. But Red Dead 2 is keeping the good times rolling, and I really recommend it.

New 2023 55″ Hisense U8K 4K Mini LED TV for $799.99

Hisense recently released the updated 2023 model of its highest end TV, the U8 series.Like the 2022 U8H, the new 2023 U8K boasts a Mini-LED panel with quantum dot technology (QLED) and wide color gamut (ULED). Mini LED panels allow for even more precise dimming because the controller zones are smaller and more numerous. Not all Mini-LED panels are built the same however. The new U8K boasts almost double the dimming zones compared to the U8H. The U8K makes for a solid gaming TV for the current generation PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers. Samsung 980 Pro 2TB M.2 SSD $99.99

Looking for a fast and inexpensive M.2 SSD from a brand that you recognize? Here’s your answer. Today Amazon is offering the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4 solid state drive for only $125.99. Compared to Western Digital and Seagate’s out-of-the-box PS5 ready SSDs, this is the least expensive. In terms of performance, it’s no longer the fastest SSD on the market (the 990 Pro is), but it’s still a very fast drive. It certainly more than meets the minimum 5600MB/s speed requirement to be used as a PS5 storage upgrade, with speeds of up to 7,100MB/s.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $24.99

As part of its Early Prime Day event, Amazon has its Fire TV Stick 4K Max for only $24.99, or 55% off the original retail price of $54.99. This is the best Fire TV stick that you can get. It has 40% more processing power than the original Fire TV stick, which means it can handle 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos audio without a hitch. It also supports the new Wi-Fi 6 standard to handle the increased bandwidth needed for those big 4K streams. This is better than a built-in smart TV interface because you can transfer it from TV to TV without having to redo all your profiles and settings.

Alienware Aurora RTX 4090 Gaming PC for $2999.99

As part of its Black Friday in July event, Dell is offering an Alienware Aurora R15 gaming PC equipped with the top-of-the-line GeForce RTX 4090 GPU for only $2999.99. The R15 is Alienware’s latest flagship gaming PC, equipped with the newest AMD Ryzen 7 7700 processor with Cryo-Tech liquid cooling and an overpowered GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now, leaving competitors like AMD’s latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX in the dust. It’s also ridiculously more powerful than any of the RTX 30 series cards: it’s up to 90% faster than the 3080 Ti. The 4090 is the one and only solution to ray-traced 4K gaming at consistent 60+fps. If you’re still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 review.
