Amazon Black Friday 2023: Early Deals and Sales to Expect This Year

Although Black Friday was once an in-store only event, Amazon and other online retailers have forever changed how we do our holiday deals shopping. Amazon’s Black Friday sale is one of the biggest online sales throughout November and beyond. So if you’re hoping to do some preparation ahead of Amazon’s offiical sale, we’ve provided a quick rundown on when you can start expecting Amazon Black Friday deals and what sales 2023 might hold. There are also already some early deals available worth taking a look at.

We don’t know exactly what deals will be going on during Amazon’s Black Friday sale, but we can guess based on last year what you can expect to find in 2023. Even though Amazon recently released a press release about their Black Friday sale, we still have not gotten official announcement for their sale dates.

Early Amazon Black Friday Deals

Altough Amazon hasn’t officially kicked off their Black Friday deals in any official capacity, they are price matching some Best Buy Black Friday sales that are already live and continually discounting popular items every day. Here are the best discounts happening right now:

When Does Amazon Black Friday Start?

Amazon’s Black Friday main sale will most likely begin on Thursday, November 23 and run through Friday, November 24 in 2023. This is based on last year’s sale, which ran on the same dates for 48 hours. That being said, there are already early Black Friday deals on the site you can start shopping and Amazon has a tendency to release discounts throughout the month of November.

It’s also possible that some of Amazon’s best deals will arrive much earlier on November 17, considering the Best Buy Black Friday sale is starting on that day. Walmart’s Black Friday Sale will begin early on November 8 as well, so it’s highly likely we’ll see early deals from Amazon.

What About Amazon’s October Prime Day Sale?

Amazon’s October Prime Day sale came and went las month, and the majority of the best deals have already disappeared. There will likely continue to be holiday deals throughout October that you’ll be able to find on this page. The Best Amazon Black Friday Deals – What to Expect in 2023

Amazon is known to have some of the best prices on just about everything during Black Friday. The best deals you’ll find, however, are most likely going to be on big-ticket items like TVs, gaming consoles, and Apple products. They will also have big discounts on their own Alexa-enabled devices. Here’s a quick rundown of what Amazon sales you can expect for Black Friday 2023:

TVs – Black Friday is the best time to buy a TV, and for most folks, it’s really the only time you would want to buy one. Amazon will likely have some steep discounts on Sony, LG, TCL, and Vizio TVs. You will also find the best TV deals from the retailer are going to be Amazon FireTVs, which fall under their line of devices.

Amazon Devices – Arguably the best thing to buy from Amazon during Black Friday season is one of their own devices. This includes Echo devices, video doorbells, Fire TVs, Fire Tablets, and some of the best Kindle deals you’ll ever find.

Apple Products – Because Apple doesn’t really do Black Friday sales directly, Amazon is one of the best retailers to find deals on Apple devices. The best discounts are usually on Apple Watch models as well as older iPad models. You can usually find a pretty good Macbook deal or discounts on refurbished iPhones as well. With the release of the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9 this year, there should be discounts on last year’s models. Gaming Consoles – The best time to buy a new video game console is on or around Black Friday. There is almost always some sort of direct discount or bundle that can help you save at least a little bit of money on an expensive gaming machine. You should be able to find PS5 deals, Xbox deals, and maybe even a rare Nintendo Switch deal on Amazon for Black Friday. Sony also recently announced the PS5 Slim for the holiday season, so you can likely expect some bundles to be arriving with the new console. Though you’ll have to decide between a gaming pc and console for playing games.

Video Games – Amazon has one of the biggest online collections of video games for consoles, and they almost always have good video game deals on Black Friday. Last year there was a pretty good buy one get one sale as well as some of the best Switch games for under $30. You can pretty much always expect Amazon to have great Switch deals on Black Friday. The retailer almost always has some good PS5 Black Friday sales on popular titles that will also double as Xbox Black Friday deals.

Headphones and Earbuds – Although headphones are usually just accessories to our other media devices, they can get surprisingly expensive. Amazon will most likely have deals on AirPods models and various other wireless earbuds. You can also expect a few great deals on noise-canceling headphones from Sony and Bose.

Amazon Subscriptions – If you’re looking to add to your list of Amazon subscriptions, Black Friday is traditionally a good time to do so. There will most likely be big discounts on Amazon Music, Kindle Unlimited, and Prime Video add-ons. There will also most likely be an Audible subscription deal that will give you access to some of the best Audio books.

Kitchen Appliances – Black Friday is one of the few times throughout the year that we see big discounts on Kitchen appliances. Things like Instant Pots, Nespresso machines, Vitamix blenders, and Keurig coffee makers will all likely get some sort of discount on Amazon after Thanksgiving. It’s also a great time to buy a standing mixer for way under it’s normal price.

Vacuums – Another item that doesn’t tend to get very many discounts until Black Friday season is vacuums. These household items are surprisingly expensive, especially if you’re opting for a Dyson model. You can expect discounts on traditional vacuums, stick vacuums, and even robot vacuums on Amazon during Black Friday 2023. It’s a great time to find deals on brands like Roomba, Shark, Bissel, Dyson, and more.

Toys – Discounts on toys happen fairly frequently throughout the year, but Black Friday is when most toys go on sale. This is especially true on amazon for things like LEGO sets and action figures. You will also likely be able to find discounts on some of the best board games.

Gaming Laptops and PCs – Black Friday is one of the best times to buy a laptop. Although Amazon isn’t always the best retailer for gaming latops and PC hardware, they do tend to have some pretty decent deals. You’ll most likely be able to find deals on gaming laptops and budget gaming PCs from brands like Razer, Asus, Cyberpower, and HP.

Although we don’t have insight into everything folks bought on Amazon Black Friday last year, we do have a press release from the retail giant that reveals some highlights of 2022. According to the report, the best selling categories were Home, Fashion, Toys, Beauty, and Amazon Devices. More specifically, people were buying the Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick, Apple AirPods, and the Nintendo Switch.

With October Prime Day just around the corner and Black Friday deals on their way shortly after, it’s a good time to start planning your shopping. Here are a few Black Friday tips that you should be considering ahead of the event:

1. Set a Budget – Keeping track of how much money you can actually spend is important to avoid overspending. When everything is on sale, it can be easy to buy more than you really should just because things are at their lowest price of the year.
2. Create a Shopping List – Knowing exactly what you’re trying to find discounts on is a great way to avoid making unnecessary purchases. It can also make it easier for you to compare prices between retailers or set price drop alerts ahead of time.
3. Compare Prices – Although Amazon tends to automatically price match on most things, it’s still good to compare prices to other retailers before you buy. You can also use the website CamelCamelCamel to compare prices against Amazon’s historical pricing.
4. Find Unbiased Reviews – Amazon reviews have gotten somewhat better in recent years, but you should still do research outside of the site before making a decision. Seek out unbiased reviews on expensive purchases before you buy.
