The Series 9 is Braun’s highest end electric shaver. Within the series, there are several different models ranging from the 90XX to the 95XX. The 93XX design was released sometime in 2019, but it’s still one of the best shavers out there and the newer models are only incremental updates with performance largely unchanged. There are “Pro” models available, but definitely not worth more than double the price of this deal (the least expensive Pro model starts at $300 right now at Braun).

The Braun Series 9 9310cc boasts four shaving blades, or “five shaving elements” (one of the elements is a SkinGuard and not an actual blade) with a tried and true design. The two outer foils do most of the standard gruntwork, including taking care of course and wiry hair; the third foil is designed to lift and cut flat-laying hairs; the last foil is designed to guide and cut longer wayward hairs that are pointed in different directions. This is an especially good shaver for guys like myself who don’t shave daily and need something that can handle hairs that have grown for more than a few days. Like most shavers in this price range it can be used wet or dry because it’s completely waterproof.

The lithium-ion battery lasts 60 minutes on a single charge, however you’ll probably never run the battery dry because this Series 9 includes a Clean & Charge station which cleans, lubricates, dries, and charges your shaver at the touch of a button. The charging base does use cartridges that need to be replaced every few months or so. The price can add up over time, but you can mitigate that by buying or making your own solution in bulk and refilling the cartridges yourself. Either way, a cleaning station is recommended because these newer shavers are more time consuming to manually clean out than the shavers of the past.

There are other good brands out there, but right now at this current price point, none of them have the Braun Series 9 Sport beat. It’s a top-end shaver with solid performance, convenience, and long lasting build quality, all at a price that’s cheaper than any deal we saw during Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
