In retro news, it’s been 22 years since we turned and burned in Ace Combat: Distant Thunder, the phenomenal fourth entry in the series that remained the highest-selling entry until Ace Combat 7 (2021) finally dethroned it. It’s also been 24 years since some of us imported a game whose name drew many a chortle—Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring. Come for the name and inclusion of FFVII characters; stay for the brilliant dungeon-crawling Quest mode.
